System Design

We designed the system based on the feeding stage in Taiwan’s nanny skill test. Players will follow a correct procedure to feed the baby, starting from washing hands, heating up water to the right temperature, adding the right amount of water and milk powder, shaking the bottle and cooling before feeding.


If the steps were not completed correctly, baby will react in different conditions :

If the player either didn't wash hands or heat up the water to 70 degree, the baby will vomit and cry upon eating the milk, because the milk wasn't fully sterilized.

If player didn't pat the baby while feeding, the baby will vomit because of the reflux.

If the milk is too hot or the milk is not made in a right proportion of formula, upon tasting a sip of milk, the baby will get angry and refuse to eat.

If all the steps are done perfectly, the baby will be eating and clap his hands happily.



To simulate scraping the milk powder to a flat spoon, I implemented by using two assets, one is the full spoon, the other is the flat spoon. I placed a small collider under the surface on top of the can. The full spoon will turn into the flat spoon after touching the collider. In this way, we can simulate the action of scraping the powder.

We used a liquid simulator from Unity Asset Store and modified it. There is a detector in the bottle. While the pouring water meets the detector, the water level will go up.
